What if I have a question about a picture on this website?
We have been researching CASU44 since 1995. I do have some knowledge of the unit and some of the men in it but by no means do I profess to know everything. What I believe is that this information belongs to the families of these men, so you are welcome to any information that I have. That includes copies of family members pictures and the documents I have on the unit.
Can I add more information to this website?
What if I have information, documents and or pictures that I would like to share.
- First contact me by email and describe what you would like to share.
- Second make a decision if you would like to have your donation setup in an Individual memorial page.
- All donations will be made available to anyone interested in CASU44 or WWII history.
- Email copies of your documents and pictures along with any stories and comments. Please use medium to high-res scans for better images.
- Do Not send originals as I won't be able to return them.
Will I be paid for the the items I agree to share on the website?
This website is in honor of the men in CASU 44. Please notice there are no ads on this site. I ask no compensation for the site, maintenance or hosting charges. The information and pictures are here to honor these men and not for sale. If you feel you need some payment for what you wish to share, then you will need to find another website.
What if I have corrections, individual identification or additional information?
Please contact me by email or phone and we will discuss your information. What I have on the site is what has been provided by my Father, Ted Saylor and his sons, and other individual with direct knowledge of the men. It is possible that there are items on the site that are wrong but we make every effort to ensure the accuracy before publishing it.
Will I have final approval on how the information is displayed on the website?
We will agree on your ideas as long as they continue to show honor to the men of CASU 44. There are pictures that show the impacts of war and the culture of both the time and place. We feel this is a part of their lives and what they encountered. If we disagree we will not publish your items..
How long will this website be online?
I wish I had that answer but currently all I can promise is that it will be here as long an I have breath. I have two children and a grandson that has shown the willingness and desire to keep it going and there are 2 great grandsons that hopefully will follow in our footsteps. Beyond that I am not sure.
What if I would like to help?
I appreciate all offers of help. If you have skills or ambition we can talk and see what might be possible. Again you can send me an email and we can work out the details..
